Scarification Patterns...
Following on from the previous post I've collected a few images of scarification patterns that I love. The beauty of these scars are that each one represents something. Some women's scars are to make them more sexually desirable, other scars are a mark of cultural identity. Another use of tribal scars is to prevent kidnap by other tribes and also to mark memories in their lives. In a sense their skin becomes a book and I love that idea. Each tribe had their own style of scarification although these have become more rare now as it has been banned due to health reasons.
