Bald Caps

During our technical sessions we were able to practise the use applying bald caps. Admittedly it was quite a hard task especially as my model had so much hair to work with. Firstly we had to wet down the hair as much as possible, which makes it easier to work with. We then slicked the hair down with copious amounts of gel. As my our model had a lot of hair we had to part it down the middle and wrap each side around the head so it was as flat as possible. The next step was to wrap a headscarf around our models head and dry the gel with a hair-dryer so it all sets. After all of this was completed we were able to apply the bald cap and then finish off by airbrushing it so it blends in.
